Jack Taunton is a Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and a member of the Chemistry and Chemical Biology (CCB) and Tetrad graduate programs. Jack has been named an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow, Searle Scholar, Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator, and Ono Pharma Foundation Breakthrough Scientist. Jack has also cofounded several biotechnology companies (Principia BioPharma, Global Blood Therapeutics, Kezar Life Sciences, Cedilla Therapeutics, and Terremoto Biosciences) and is a scientific advisor to Entos.
The Taunton Lab is located in Genentech Hall, UCSF Mission Bay Campus.
